PTE Academic Writing Overview

REAdING TEST

PTE Core Speaking Overview

It includes a series of tasks designed to assess pronunciation, fluency, and content delivery. Tasks include reading aloudrepeating sentencesdescribing images,  Responding to situation and answering short questions, and providing spoken responses to prompts. This ensures an unbiased and accurate assessment of your speaking skills.

The difference between PTE Academic and PTE Core speaking liesin the absence of Retell lecture and Summarise Group Discussion.  

LISTENING TEST

PTE Core Writing Overview

It includes two tasks: Summarise written text(25-50 words) and write an email (at least 100 words) about a given situation.  This section evaluates your grammar, vocabulary, spelling and ability to structure and develop ideas logically.                                                                                                                                                                                   The difference between PTE Academic writing and PTE Core writing lies in the word limit and sentence limits in the summary and Email writing tasks instead of essay writing. 

READING TEST

PTE Core Reading Overview

It includes tasks like multiple-choice questionsreordering paragraphs, and fill-in-the-blank exercises, covering both academic and practical reading skills. 



There is no difference between PTE Academic Reading and PTE Core  Reading.  

LISTENING TEST

PTE Core Listening Overview

It includes tasks such as summarizing spoken text, multiple-choice questions, fill-in-the-blanks, and highlighting incorrect words.

The difference between PTE Academic and PTE Core listening  lies in the following areas: Summarize spoken text-You have to write the summary with   Minimum Word limit of 20, and Maximum 30. Time allotted is 8 minutes.
